Cayenne S 2004 hat ein klackern im leerlauf
Why would anybody want to have it repaired in Germany if he can avoid it? Why pay the highest hourly rates known to mankind for average workmanship on a good day?
But if you really want to waste big money, here you go:
http://www.motoren-hh.de/
In Iceland it would cost around 20.000 EUR.
It's more than I could get for it on the market.
What would you recommend I do ?
I found a workshop in Hamm that where able to do it for 6 - 7.000 EUR with reconditioned short-block.
But I'm not sure about their workmanship.
My recommendation:
Classic & Modern Engine Services Ltd
18 Great Hollands Square
Bracknell RG12 8UX
England
+44 1344 488853
I always was very satisfied with their services. They did work for me and many others I know (in fact, it was those others, who recommended them to me) on classic car engines, dragster engines, and stockcar F1 engines. I know that they did work for Icelandic Formula Offroad and Rally teams and they do contract work for BMW UK Ltd. which is also located in Bracknell.
They have the latest machining equipment from America, the newest stuff imaginable.
The shop looks like a clusterfuck, but don't let that put you off. I've seen them do work for McLaren and Judd.
Can't you locate a used engine in Iceland? From a crashed one for example?
If you'd like to go down that route, i can search for one in England, too.
I have a Cayenne S year 2004 with a scored cylender.
Can someone point me to a good workshop to repair it in Germany preferable near Hamburg.
I was told I need a new "Short-block".
It's only driven 65.000 km and the Porsche manufacturer wont help me.
Sorry don't wright German.
Thanks
Sverrir
Thanks for this.
I'm looking and waiting for some owner of a Cayenne S to crash his car here in Iceland but without any luck.
I've got a few chooses, one is selling the car "As is" and get very low price. I can buy a "Short-block" and repair it my self and cross my fingers I will make it. I can try to find a workshop in a another country.
The shipment of the car to Germany and back costs around 1.200 EUR.
I have sent a mail to Classic & Modern Engine Services but have not gotten a reply.
